Having gone to number 1 on Zone Radio’s Top 40 Charts, getting his track played on Play Boy TV daily and receiving airplay on Tom Robinson’s BBC Introducing Mixtape, Jake Aldridge returns with ‘Fireman’ featuring Lisa Ambrose. Fusing RnB and hip-hop, Aldridge tells the captivating story of losing the person you love, a theme he is all too familiar with after losing his own father at the age of 11.

Watch the music video for ‘Fireman’ here:

When Jake was 11, his father passed away in a tragic accident, forcing him to later use music as a form of therapy. Unlike many musicians, music wasn’t in Jake’s blood but as he began to write, he discovered he was a confident lyricist and started to master rapping. Music became a positive way of expressing his emotions as well as offering others a form of comfort.

‘Fireman’ features the singer-songwriter Lisa Ambrose, who recently won Battle Of The Bandstands, hosted by BBC Radio 1’s Rob The Bank. This led to Ambrose supporting Mark Ronson and now collaborating with Jake Aldridge. Inspired by the likes of Tupac Shakur and Dr Dre, Jake believes his music is entirely honest and offers his fans an insight to his life and emotions. The song has been produced by Ninety II, an up and coming producer from Bristol.

The track is set for release on April 7th via ITunes, Google Play, Spotify etc.

I have written previously about his music in the past.

I loved to listen this  intro track collabs between Lisa Ambrose and him. So amazing 🙂

The last few years have seen Jake’s rise from a bedroom act into a breakthrough artist working with producers including Gary Louca, who has achieved number 1s in the US dance charts. Jake has received airplay on a dozen BBC Introducing shows such as Tom Robinson’s Introducing Mixtape on BBC Radio 6 and his fresh style of music has also secured him Sync deals with Go DIY Records from LA and the UK’s Amurco Music.

Jake’s passion for music and writing lyrics stems from losing his father unexpectedly when he was 11 years old. He started out with only a £12 Microphone and a pop shield made from a sock but has now amassed more than 150,000 plays online. Jake has signed a publishing deal with Leopard Music and also secured a sponsorship deal with RudeBoy Clothing (www.rudeboyclothing.co.uk).

Young musical artist, 28 year old Jake Aldridge, has just announced the release of his first-time collaboration with fellow UK artist and singer/songwriter, Ellie Jamison, as a way of thanks to a loyal friend for many years of support.
Ellie has been performing since the age of 9 and has worked closely with Amy Wadge, who co-wrote the Grammy winning song, Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud.
When I’m Feeling Down has further built-in quality as it features production by California-based Johann Elliott, who has worked with Jake on previous tracks.

Jake commented: “A great Kanye West Lyric said: People never get the flowers while they can still them. That is what I wanted to do with this song, to thank my best friend for always being there for me and I hope it inspires others to be thankful for their true friends as well.”
Aldridge, who is from Suffolk in the UK, has been busy building his credentials. His music video for a previous single, Give You The World, which was filmed in Spain, went to number one on the VTYO video charts.
He has signed a publishing deal with Leopard Music, a synchronisation deal with Go DIY Records and also secured a sponsorship deal with Asia-based RudeBoy clothing line.
Jake’s music career came about rather unexpectedly after losing his father when at just 11 years old; he eventually turned to his diary as a way to cope with his grief. He started out with a £12 Microphone and a pop shield made from a sock.
Today, Jake Aldridge is a professional singer in his own right, racking up over 100,000 plays online and working with some top names in the industry to write and produce music.

Jake’s new single, In the Clouds, was produced by Sam Hadfield, who is a 23-year-old Hip Hop/R&B artist from Bristol. Sam has been behind some of Jake’s biggest tracks to date including Moonlight, Falling and Erotic.
In the Clouds has a clear beat that is foot-tappingly catchy. The lyrics are almost playful, with “cheeky” undertones – just right for the setting Jake wanted for the tune. Kelly’s vocals also provide the perfect accompaniment to Jake’s raps, making an all-round modern RnB sound.

Jake commented: “The song is about encouraging people to be more care free, to even go against the grain a little bit. It’s easy to let the struggles of life wear you down and I wanted this track to be like a breath of fresh air to people; a reminder that it’s ok to live life on the edge from time to time.”
